Therapeutic Massage

What to Expect

Therapeutic massage takes into consideration both how you are feeling physically you feel emotionally.

Each session is specifically tailored to your needs and so the treatment you receive will be unique, following no fixed routine, taking into account much more than just superficial aches and pains.

What Are The Benefits?

Daily life impacts on our body in many ways. Although we can easily become tired, stressed, anxious and exhausted we seldom create the space to explore the therapeutic form of beneficial relaxation. Massage can create instant improvement in the quality of sleep and concentration, improve circulation, soothe tense and tired muscles and encourage emotional well being.

Vacuum Therapy

What To Expect

Vacuum Therapy is an incredibly effective yet gentle modality of massage.
It is a non-invasive technique performed with a mechanical device that lifts the skin by means of suction, creates a skin fold and mobilises that skin fold.
Although this may look like cupping and uses cups to create vacuums this is in no form "wet cupping" and absolutely no blood is drawn.
Due to the suction you may experience small circular red marks that may take approximately a week to subside.

What Are The Benefits?

The suction and negative pressure provided by cupping can loosen muscles, encourage blood flow, and sedate the nervous system (which makes it an excellent treatment for high blood pressure).
Cupping is used to relieve back and neck pains, stiff muscles, anxiety, fatigue, migraines, rheumatism, and even cellulite.
In the late 1970s, this therapy was introduced to treat traumatic or burn scars.
Variations in duration, amplitude or frequency of the treatment have a substantial influence on collagen restructuring and reorientation - implying possible beneficial influences on the healing potential. Vacuum massage may release the mechanical tension associated with scar retraction.

Thai Reflexology

What is it?

Thai foot massage is both invigorating and deeply relaxing and involves hands on massage, stretching and acupressure to stimulate reflex points.

It has elements of Shiatsu, Reflexology, and Chinese massage, incorporated into the treatment.

Traditional Thai Foot Massage includes the use of a traditional Thai foot massage stick as well as using the palms, fingers, thumbs and knuckles to work the feet.

What to expect

For your treatment you will be sat in a reclined chair.
First your feet will be bathed then the legs will be wrapped in warm towels.
The usual duration for this treatment is 60 mins.
