My journey began with a fascination for the intersection of art, science, and engineering—a passion cultivated during my formative years in school. Although initially steered towards the sciences, I found myself inexorably drawn towards the world of art.

Upon completing studies in beauty therapy, I embarked on a new adventure the 1-year fashion makeup course at Delamar Academy, nestled within the iconic Ealing Studios of London. Concurrently, I honed my skills as a Medical Aesthetician, specializing in hair and vein removal, at an aesthetics clinic in Chiswick.

However, life's journey often takes unexpected turns and led me back to my roots, close to family in the north. 

I embraced a role as an administrative assistant for a construction company operating within an oil refinery. What commenced as a temporary position blossomed into a two-year journey, during which I found myself immersed in the realm of data entry, KPIS, health and safety and data visualisition.

Developing and managing spreadsheets and databases became second nature as I streamlined processes, enhancing data entry and processing efficiency. 

Over time, my responsibilities expanded to encompass oversight of operations across two offices—one situated within the refinery, the other within a power station.

 Following a brief hiatus to embrace the joys of motherhood, punctuated by the challenges of successive lockdowns and unexpected self-discovery, including embracing my identity as a neurodivergent woman, I've made the firm resolve to reignite my passion for technology. Enrolling in HyperionDev's software engineering bootcamp has proven to be a pivotal decision—a decision that has set me on a path towards new horizons.

Now, armed with a potent blend of diverse experiences, I am poised to embark on the next chapter of my professional odyssey—a journey fueled by creativity, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
